The ShuttleStars program, Badminton England's junior initiative, has led to 483,000 children playing badminton weekly – the highest participation since 2017!

ShuttleStars inspires 7-11-year-olds to embrace badminton, fostering passion and development. Our own players, Cholan Kayan and Sid Palakkal, have supported the program, helping to inspire the next generation.

The National Badminton League (NBL) 2025-2026 Finals have concluded. While Manchester Badminton (MB) did not secure the championship this year, the tournament proved to be a pivotal moment for us. MB team demonstrated remarkable resilience and competitive drive, highlighting the significant potential of our presence within the NBL.

A special moment of the day was the inspiring speech from the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Cllr Carmine Grimshaw, prior to the game. His words significantly boosted the team's confidence, and his expressed support for increasing badminton's popularity through initiatives like MCR active is incredibly promising for the sport's future in our city. Furthermore, the Lord Mayor's sharing of event highlights on social media will undoubtedly enhance our visibility and reach!

Manchester Badminton has officially partnered with Lancashire County Badminton Association to strengthen badminton development across Lancashire. Together, they offer enhanced coaching pathways, performance support, and wider access to grassroots and competitive badminton for players of all ages and abilities. This collaboration unites world-class training with a county-wide network of clubs, creating new opportunities for growth, participation, and high-performance success.
